"MurMur was born from a simple observation: more and more children struggle with attention and focus when faced with digital content that is too fast and poorly suited to their development. Yet screens are part of daily life for many families. So I wanted to imagine content that is adapted, designed for the child's pace and genuinely educational."

What is MurMur Éducation?
MurMur is a family of calm educational apps, designed by a primary school teacher for children from age 3. MurMur Picture Dictionary is available. MurMur Phonology and MurMur Word Search are coming soon.
Who is MurMur for?
For children from age 3, at home and in the classroom. Each app works on specific skills and so has its own audience. The Picture Dictionary supports vocabulary discovery from age 3. Phonology works on the sounds of language and how they link to letters. Word Search is mainly for children aged 5 to 6 who recognise letters or are beginning to read. The Picture Dictionary’s English vocabulary also suits older children discovering the language.
What does slow learning mean?
An approach that favours a calm rhythm and gentle progression: clean visuals, no timer or stressful mechanics, and a child who moves on at their own pace.
How much screen time for a young child?
Screens are best avoided before age 3. Between 3 and 6, they should remain occasional, with suitable content and an adult alongside. Play, conversation and screen-free experiences come first. MurMur apps include a daily screen time limit, which you set in the parents’ area.
Are the MurMur apps paid?
Each app has its own model. MurMur Picture Dictionary offers a free version and a subscription for the full content. In MurMur Word Search, the first three grids will be free and the full content will be unlocked with an in-app purchase. Details for MurMur Phonology will be shared at launch. Nothing is ever offered to the child: everything goes through the parents’ area, which is protected by a code.
Which devices do the apps run on?
MurMur Picture Dictionary is available on iPad and iPhone (App Store) and on Android (Google Play). MurMur Phonology and MurMur Word Search are planned for the same devices. A tablet remains the most comfortable format for small hands.
Which languages?
MurMur apps come in French and English, and more languages are planned. The Picture Dictionary presents every word in French and in English. Word Search will offer grids in French and in English. For these reading activities, the word lists are built for each language, following its own spelling rules, rather than translated from one language to the other.
Is there any advertising in the MurMur apps?
Never. The child’s space contains no advertising and no commercial prompts. It is a core commitment of our approach.
Can MurMur be used in the classroom or by speech therapists?
Yes. MurMur apps are used at home as well as in the classroom or in speech therapy practices, as a resource for a session led by an adult.
