Our values

What MurMur brings
to your child.

A calm screen moment, truly educational, that respects the attention and natural curiosity of little ones.

1

Growing at their own pace

No overstimulation: every activity adapts to the child's actual cognitive development. They explore and move on at their own pace, never rushed.

2

Learning that makes sense

Real photos, everyday words, activities designed by a primary school teacher for early learning — not a game dressed up as a screen.

3

A calm experience

Soothing colours, a calm voice, delicate sounds: every detail invites calm rather than excitement.

4

Parents stay in control

Nothing designed to keep them hooked to the screen. You decide the play time.

A growing ecosystem

The MurMur apps

MurMur is not a single app, but a family of gentle experiences that support every stage of early learning.

For everyone who supports the first steps.

MurMur apps are used at home as well as in the practice or classroom.

The MurMur vision

"MurMur was born from a simple observation: more and more children struggle with attention and focus when faced with digital content that is too fast and poorly suited to their development. Yet screens are part of daily life for many families. So I wanted to imagine content that is adapted, designed for the child's pace and genuinely educational."

Frequently asked questions about MurMur

What is MurMur Éducation?
MurMur is an ecosystem of calm educational apps, designed by a primary school teacher, dedicated to the slow learning of children from age 2. Our first app, MurMur Picture Dictionary, is available; MurMur Phonology is coming soon.
Who is MurMur for?
For children aged 2 and up, at home and in the classroom. Activities adapt to the child’s level, from the very start of language to reading readiness — ideal across the preschool years. The Picture Dictionary’s English vocabulary also works well for older children discovering the language.
What does slow learning mean?
An approach that favours a calm rhythm and gentle progression: clean visuals, no timer or stressful mechanics, and full control left to the child.
Are the MurMur apps paid?
Our apps always offer a free version to discover the activities, plus a premium subscription for full access to the educational content and progress tracking.
Which devices does the app run on?
MurMur Picture Dictionary is available on iPad and iPhone (App Store) as well as Android (Google Play). The tablet format is ideal for little hands, with an interface designed for touch use from age 2.
Is there any advertising in the MurMur apps?
Never. The child’s space is fully secure, with no advertising or commercial prompts. It’s a core commitment of our Slow Tech philosophy.
Can MurMur be used in preschool classrooms or by speech therapists?
Yes, absolutely. MurMur is designed for both family and professional use: the content lends itself naturally to preschool classrooms or speech therapy practices, as a teaching aid.
I have a problem with the app, how do I contact MurMur?
If you run into an issue with a MurMur app, email us at contact@murmur-edu.fr. We read every message and reply quickly, with special attention to problems that block the use of the app.
